Growing up I play football, soccer, basketball, and other club sports. I was always competitive and always had the drive to be the best I could be. I made it to the CrossFit quarterfinals in 2021 and am striving to make it to the CrossFit semifinals in the coming years, God willing! I believe my teammates, and those I meet while coaching, feed off my positive energy of wanting to overcome any doubt. I was never the fastest, the strongest, or the toughest, but believe me, I have always worked my hardest in training and in coaching.
After starting from a cardio-driven background, I became bored of running and started bodybuilding. Trying to gain weight and wanting to look like a superhero had me eating badly. One day, after bodybuilding for a good 6 to 8 months, I tried running and thought I was going to die. Around that time, I saw the CrossFit Games on TV and got curious. I found a box nearby and a few months in, I took the Level 1 course. A year after that I took the Level 2 course and my life hasn't been the same since. I even ran my own affiliate for a short period from 2020 to 2022. I love coaching and couldn't be happier with this amazing community, family, friends, and the humbling reminder every day of where I came from. I can honestly say CrossFit has changed my life!
Some people want to be fast, some want to be strong, some love to test themselves, and some want to compete, but coaching is more important than all of that to me. Although I love those aspects of sports too, CrossFit is more than a sport to me. When I started CrossFit, I realized it isn't just something to win at, it is life-changing. I love how CrossFit continues to push me out of my comfort zone and teaches me more about myself every day and I'm eager to show those I coach what they are capable of through fitness too.
